Monster - Sculpting WIP

Hi guys. I'm excited to share my newest project. Right now I'm calling it monster but that will change. I'm also writting a story for it. The goal is for it to be a 40mm miniature very soon! Hope you enjoy the process.

Here is my progress on the wing. Don't know if this will end up staying but I like it so far.

Great looking pieces, very much a Kingdom Death feel.
I often wonder how someone's mind works to think of things like this !

Hey Gandalf. Glad you like it. As far as how my mind works... well, It's all about finding balance and rhythm in the shapes. It is the shapes that play with each other and then instead of a circle... you make it an eye for example and the concept starts acquiring different meanings in the audience. Don't know if this sheds a light on your curiosity.

Decided not to go with the insect wing. Wrapping it up!

I hate to say it, but I prefer the insect wing! Especially if someone is going to go for an earth coloured paintscheme (greens and browns) on the main body. The wings could be painted in that irridescent multicoloured style and really make the hideous bulk of the beast "pop"
