Muuuuch better. The shoulder really works, and the breasts look much more realistic now with the higher shoulder line. I\'m liking that you\'re going with the skin tight look for the upper leg. You might want to look at some photo references for that pant style for the lower leg. That is, unless you have a woman who will model for you.;)

Very nice :)

For your next sculpt you should let the wires from the legs be about 15mm longer than the (planned) leg.. This will allow you to stick the armature in a wine cork. Holding the actual miniature while sculpting is generally not a good idea.

Also, I would probably have chosen to do the pants either all-FIMO or all-GS as I find GS very difficult to blend properly onto a previous (fully cured/baked) layer. For the type of sculpting you\'re doing I think pro-create (doesn\'t, however, stick to the FIMO as well as GS) or perhaps brown stuff would work better. But it is not a big problem, just something to keep in mind for future projects :)

I agree the top looks very good, keep it up!

way way cool Larre, looks like you have been doing some field work on the subject of scantly clad females. Good on you mate.
It\'s all looking very fine to me, except from the fingers. I don\'t know if it\'s the pics but they look a little short and thin to me, especially the on right hand.

I don\'t know if they are too short, I can\'t check since I\'m not at home atm..

but I think they could use a small fixing :)

I\'m glad you like it anyway :D

Your\'e a talented little bugger aint you!

With people like you and bill coming through the ranks, at least we know the future of mini painting is in safe hands (well until you reach those dark days when you discover girls and beer!)

Seriously, looking fantastic. Its very easy to see your work and forget that you are still a young blood.

hehe, glad you like it ^^

haven\'t been able to repliy for a while, since I\'m staying wit a friend atm...

but now I have returned to you and sort out a small missunderstanding

this is not my first sculpt, though it is in this scale... I bet you remeber Ghrunt? my WOW troll sculpt, he was my second atempt at a 54mm scale mini...

I think this one is like... 75-80mm tall.

but I\'m glad you like it anyway :)

Ah, but the girls turn into women who turn into wives. Then all he\'ll have left is the sculpting and beer. It cyclical. :D

I think you should have a look at this:

Good work though so far! Cheers

Not bad, female faces are 10 times more difficult than male faces. Guess that\'s what you\'ve found out :)

As GreenBladeRising points out, there are some proportional errors. The main ones seem to be that the nose is too wide, distance between upper lip and nose is too big and the eyes are too broad and maybe too far apart.

If you\'re not happy with the face I\'d suggest you re-do it. IMO that is, with GS at least, usually better than trying to fix it after the GS has cured.

In general, use primary sources whenever you run into problems.
I.E. don\'t rely on someone elses rendition, go find a real life example.
First, get on a pair of jeans, and go and stand in front of a full length mirror, look long and hard at where the creases actually form.
Second, again, get in frony of a full length mirror, adopt that same pose with yoiur hands on your his, and look long and hard at your wrists, where your arm meets your hands, look at how your fingers curve around your hips, (billy, lizcam, don\'t even go there...)
When I studied lifedrawing, the most important thing I learned was that before you can learn to draw or sculpt, you\'ve gotta learn how to look.
That ¡s the best piece of advice I can give you, as technically, I think you sculpt a shit load better than I dolol

This is the best advice out there.

However, when you\'re looking at something that low on your body (hands resting on hips) Make sure to either, get someone else to do it, or position the mirror(s) just right. You want to see how it looks from the right angles, and it\'s just easier to get that all down if you\'re moving around someone who is in that position, rather than view it only from where you head is positioned on your body. If that makes any sense to you...

Another tip, is to take the pix you have of your mini and put them in paint yourself. Draw a line in 2 pt size (choose an odd color) Then you can cut that line out and move it over so you can compare angles. Just having them side by side on the computer screen will help a lot. Try to take the photo from the same angle.

thanks for the helpful advice guys :D

it\'s just a bummer I don\'t own any tight jeans :( (wonder if that sad smily acually fit in that sentence)

I\'ll do´the paint thing, and I\'ll redo the head from scratch...

also, I just wanted to point out that quadrille is absolutely right, female faces are much more complicated to sculpt :(

so, now I\'ve got another update, it\'s not QUITE finnished yet... but I\'m really pleased with the head, I think the fact that I re-did the head was a major plus for the mini... now it just need some hair :)
then after that some minor details, then it\'s off to paint :D

so, here are the pics:

I hope you like it :)

feck, she\'s really coming along isn\'t she. the new head is loads better! the bridge of the nose seems a little wide but that would be easy to scrape down. they eyes are really well done!

Without hair at the moment, she looks a little like Captain Picard :)

But MUCH better than the first attempt - I know heads can be a pain :p
I daren\'t even ATTEMPT a FEMALE head yet.

The eyes in particular look good IMO, the worst part, as mentioned, is still the nose.

Not sure if it\'s the angle of the photo too, but it doesn\'t look quite straight?
