More banners, plus filtering...

Another ones popped up, this ones beyond the last lot.

Maybe the answer is to filter out any cyrilic script of any kind, anything that doesnt use the english , I know its harsh, but it wouldnt affect of a lot of the non english forum, and might stop this.


PS, dont open the post with whatever langauge it is.....

One other thing to do is not allow people to make posts on their first few days of joining a forum. I know that sounds harsh.
But I\'m on a fan site forum for my Football team and on their when you join the ranks of their members you can\'t post topics for the first day only write / reply on current ones. I\'ve honestly never seen any pop up / smut site advertisement on there in the 3 years I\'ve been a member.

An even better idea actually, Ive remembered warseer is like that, you cant post anything until youve replied to a set number of posts, and again, they dont have anything like that pop up.

Again, I think its down to chern showing up from time to time...

True, it isn\'t a bad idea, but I\'ve seen on another forum that there\'s replies to posts with this kind of stuff in it.
It\'s a reply, so it slips by, anyway.

How can you NOT know those threads are spam or porn? Don\'t open them, problem solved.

The banners are never pornographic (although the old guy with the young girl was just plain gross) - they lead to possibly pornographic sites. A girl in a bikini is not porn. Again, don\'t click the banner - problem solved.

This should be a non-issue

The issue again is having \"inappropriate\" material being accessed from school, work or other public computers. That kind of stuff can get you in trouble whether you click the banner or not.

The old man and the boob made me laugh my ass off btw.

That would work if CMON would stop logging me off randomly. Most of the time I check posts its logged me off again.
