We never would have without the Vulcans and Klingons.
Well basically I agree with Dragonsreach.
The problem is that the supposed Vulcans of the White House were named after the Roman God Vulcan. (Hephaestus to the Greeks) He was god of fire and volcanoes, and the manufacturer of art, arms, iron, and armor for gods and heroes.
Not the God of War, that would be Mars, or Ares.
Not the \"Vulcans\" of Star Trek.
I mean, if you\'re going to start flinging accusations and talking crap about a certain group, it might be wise to look up the etymology of the word that they are called by.
I mean, to mistake the God of fire with pointy eared aliens, meh. OK, maybe if you\'re just walking into the conversation.
To take the time and write a speech and accuse them of being \"faux-Klingons\", when their name has absolutely nothing to do with Star Trek to begin with, without doing just a tad of research, is just plain idiotic.
