Still mostly old figures. Please let me know what you think of them. I used a \"real\" camera this time around, and I think it really made a difference.

The problem with CMoN is that it kind of raised my expectations from mini painting, so I\'m experiencing a kind of paralysis when it comes to painting new minis.

Nice ones...

Good job Dr. Bob!!

I like the minis. And the camera has made a big difference. The pics are very decent quality.

I know what you mean about the \'paralysis\' with the new minis.

I have gone back and either redone or actually started some of my oldest minis, like I haven\'t \'earned the right\' to work on the new stuff yet (although that doesn\'t stop me from buying them!!:flame:)

It is really neat to see some of the old mini\'s \"make the rounds\" (doctor pun intendedlol) again. Does that make me sound like an old timer?

The wizard \"bofore pinenut\" as you called him. I have that little fellow, and I think he came in a three pack of other little wizards. Are you aware of them? If so, do you know their names?

Ral Partha used to make \"Three Stage Characters\" sets depicting the same person at different \"levels.\"

For example, the 3 fighters I posted earlier (01-315) were also sold separately as 03-010, 03-011, and 03-012. (I think they were called Fighter, Anti-Hero, and Lord.)

I bought Bofore Pinenut the Druid (03-028) as a single mini (though I didn\'t know his name at the time).

According to some catalogs, the \"next\" minis in sequence were called Johan of the Winter (03-029) and Storm Shaman (03-030). Maybe those three were \"bundled\" as a Three Stage Character set?

Too bad it\'s so hard to find photos and records of old lead. I\'ve been browsing through Stuff of Legends, IronWind Metals, Digital Dragon, and the Spirit Games shop, trying to identify my old minis. It\'s hard work.

I know what you mean. I\'m just working on some Ral Partha minis from the mid-90\'s and my Chainmail minis now (a year after the demise of the game). At this rate, I\'ll be ready to start working on my Confrontation and Warmachine minis in about 2017.

Dont feel to bad about it Dr. Bob - I\'ve got an entire Heritage 25mm Samurai army from the early 80\'s thats primed and a few peices started, but thats about it - I may get to it about 2020 - once I\'ve got the other stuff finished.

I keep trying to stop buying minis, but they keep releasing cooler and cooler ones.

My painted vs. primed ratio currently stands at about 5%, meaning that I have about 20 primed minis for every completed one. Yikes!

coined the term...

I think it was Dragonsreach refers to that as \"shiny new toy syndrome\" or something similar.

Just give up...Stop thinking of yourself as a painter...

...and do what I did. Change your title to collector or collector/painter.

I haven\'t done any painting for two years and I am sooo out of date.

I now consider my status to be more akin to a trader on the stock exchange. I buy, I sell...! Shit! no I don\'t sell. I just buy.

Ho hum, bang goes another theory..:D
