Well I have be doing a few miniatures at the same time recently (I find it difficult to get things finished). The first one is finished and the wood elf is almost there.

1. A samurai general for my Takeda army.

2. An Elf. I have tried out the water effect on this one for the first time but it is\'nt to clear in the picture.

3. An Eldar. Really like this miniature, i\'m going for greys with a little tint of blue. He will have wings when i\'m done with him so the inspiration is the sky.

4. Forge world Eldar Avatar. Not my favourite minature but I got it just so I could give this paint scheme a go.

Hoping to actually get some of these finished someday.

Obviously they are all WIPs :p DUUH
But the Eldar (exarch?) looks the best so far.

The samurai is also good - what\'s left to do on him? He looks finished.

The woodelf also looks pretty much finished except the base.

I won\'t comment on the avatar yet, as I looks as though you\'ve only just started.

Well the Samurai is finished, I am tempted to do some sort of mon on his chest armor though.
As for the woodelf, I have the hair to do still and probaly a bit mor highlighting, the base is pretty much finished but it just does\'nt look to good from that angle, the photos are a bit dark also.

great stuff tom. what are your plans for the avatar? i\'m back in taunton so i shall stop by to see that terminator you did

Well for the Avatar i\'m going for the yellow in the recesses and then build that up to red, the torso section is pretty much what i\'m going for on the whole mini. As for the emblems etc i\'m not to sure at the moment, perhaps a really bright yellowish white or I was think of a greenish copper.

I still have the terminator at home but i\'m hoping to pop into taunton this weekend as I also need to get some supplies (paints have a habit to dry up when you take breaks from painting), my black has almost ran out.

Yet another different project now but I saw this one on my shelf and I was hit by a sudden wave of inspiration. I think this model looked far to elaborate with all the spikes and the big chunky weapons so I have hacked most of it off. I have used the metal that was there to carve the new sections and managed to find a nice (smaller) sword amongst my bits. I had to use a bit of green stuff on the shoulder where some spikes should have been glued in but thats it so far.
I\'m not sure what i\'m doing with the other hand yet, lots of chooses of weapons (sword, spear ,bow of dagger).
For the bases I was thinking of running on water but i\'m not to sure how I would go about doing this.

Should have took a photo of it before i started the hacking but got carried away.

How about having her (Or he if it\'s a poncy elf in drag), leaping onto/from a stepping stone in the middle of a roaring river?

For weapon, I\'d either have small buckler shield, or a shorter, dagger-like sword.

Yes that could be a good idea or perhaps a crocodile like in the James Bond film. It would be good to have her running on water though I can just picture it now from the kung fu films, I wonder if that basing idea has been done before.

I like the Eldar Autarch, and the Samurai.
But I have to say that the Edlar Avatar is one of the worst figures I\'ve ever seen and it has nothing to do with your painting..
It\'s unfortunate that particular Sculpt is the biggest drawback to any painting scheme. Having looked at the rest of your painting you might be able to drag a Silk purse out of that particular Sows\' ear.
But to be honest I have never yet seen any version of this figure which impressed me.

I really like the look of the assasin, and can\'t wait to see it finished, a very nice conversion.

Your painting is top notch so nothing to add there!

@ dragonsreach, that avatar comment sounds like a challenge to me!! If I have the spare pennies at Gamesday I will buy one to paint up pureley to try and impress you!

Hey, I see what you mean about the similarities between your Autarch and my Baharroth! He\'s looking REALLY smooth so far - the highlighting on the bottom half is perfect.
Now put that Lelith away and get on with the Autarch!

Well I put Lelith away awhile ago now, still have to figure out what I am going to do with her right arm. I\'ve mainly been doing stuff for other people lately but I am going to work on the Eldar model for a bit now, so with some luck I will get that one finished soon.

Ok Seems like you really enjoy a challenge. :D
But I must warn you I\'ve seen several IRL and the Resin surface always looks rough to me. Personally I also think that the sculptures positioning is as dynamic as a geriatric waving a walking stick.

If you want to make this a fun \"lets see what we can do with this\" kinda thing I\'m willing to have a go at converting the old metal Avatar to \'Spice\' that up a little.
But that will have to be after Gamesday for both our sanities sakes. (I\'ve already got a lot on my plate). :D

The Elf is from Spyglass miniatures, you can buy them from the coolminiornot shop but it looks like that one is out of stock at the moment.
