GW Verminlord Greater Deamon of the Horned Rat - fugging thing didn\'t fit, had to be pinned and filled six ways to Sunday - and I couldn\'t smash it against the wall as it was a commission piece - I think I started hating GW about then.

With forge world stuff now, I just keep sending it back, as matty will attest to, cause its giving some very angry moments.

Beautiful looking tanks, the pictures in imperial armour look awesome, and yet, the fit of them is just rubbish.

Like with the MkIIb land raider, one sponson is ok, the other is 3mm out.

How the hell does that work!

Does the resin come out of the molds soft and then distort, or something? Is it heat-sensitive and gets stored in a roasting hot warehouse all summer? Are FW/GW just ripping people off (oh wait, of course they are...)

Skaven stormvermin. Not a pain to put together, it\'s when they snap at the waist when I\'m cleaning some other part of the mini. And they don\'t come in seperate parts, the chest and waist, it\'s all cast as on, except for the weapon.

I\'ll second freakinacage on the Netherlord.

I\'m like 75% done building it, used over have a strip of GS to fill every (and I do mean absolutely every) seam where two pieces meet, and for the life of me I still can\'t get the horns around the front of the mouth to stay in place.

I seriously think I am going to have to break out the two-part epoxy if I ever hope to finish the spines on his back.

I\'ve just resigned myself to pinning EVERYTHING where metal is involved, seriously - even both arms of Hordes\' Circle of Orboros Kaya!

The metal GW Chaos terminators, unless you leave off the trophy racks or do alot of spacing most of the arms just won\'t fit, full stop!

without a shadow of a doubt its Rackham\'s knights of alahan. The two halves of the horse don\'t fit together (ever) and the detail on the barding is so fine that filling gaps becomes more effort than its worth.

The eldar bonesinger is probably the only eldar mini that has every really come together for me. the others were a nightmare.

In my experience (limited as it is) the worst to clean (flashing, etc) are Corvus Belli\'s Infinity line T.A.G.s (big anime robot type thingies), they have waaay more flash and mould lines than any mini should.

Worst to assemble was the LOTR Felbeast (regular one, not the Witch Kings). It has a whole lot of weight on a rather small joint and the wings hated me. I used more putty on the wings than all my other minis combined. And I still haven\'t painted it, approx. 2 years later now.

i woke up in the middle of the night and realised that the worst \"mini\" I ever tried to put together was the old 40K metal thunderhawk...

... clearly it was so bad that I\'d blanked it from my mind.

For anyone too young to recall it, it came in about 100 pieces, none of which fitted together easily and pretty much all of which needed pinning because of the weight of the whole thing.

my spaz (sorry, space) marines, in my first building experiences, i found they fitted together fine, only there was a gap between the torso and back, and some of the most prominent mouldlines ever. oh, and the marine tanks. having to wrap them in tape just so they dry properly is not fun.:cussing:

well...

From the 2 FW models I have done so far (grey knight dread, and greater demon nurgle, didn\'t have much of a problem except for the sword arm of the greater demon...I had to bend the sword via hot water, and then sculpt a new wrist (part of it) to get the sword at the right angle for the tongue..then sculpt a new tongue portion that helps it wrap around the sword)...

but the absolutely worst...

WotC Black Dragon (metal)...getting each wing to attach took about 1.5 days (including the night..so 1.5 days in actual hours..36 to 40). I had to have the dragon held up by heavy books and tools..then the wing in place with 2 large/long pins and tons of super glue and apoxysculpt...then had it resting overnight in that position or the weight of the wing wouldn\'t let it stay, regardless of position. Then the next day was the next wing..again overnight held via everything i could find.

Then the rest was done....

See above, its all of them.

The last lot I got had a bunch of vein type lines in them, maddening really.

And various lumps on them where the molds are breaking down.

They just dont replace them soon enough.

However, remembered a story from a mate about the metal empire steam tank.

First one, took him two weeks solid work, couldnt get it to fit, no matter what.

Threw that one at a wall.

Sent it back, cause GW said he wasnt a good enough modeller to put it together (WTF does that mean?!?! who are they to judge)

They couldnt do it either, so sent him a ne one.

That one didnt go.

The third one, the one he painted cause he was running out of time for a tournament, still has gaps in it.
