Id have to say my most blonde moment was getting up one morning after waiting for a mini to dry and spraying him with black paint instead of the sealer.

Same for me Mick, just white primer instead of Krylon, both cans have white labels and I grabbed the wrong one, there\'s 12 hours down the drain....

Which is apparently exactly what it was designed to do - bond skin in emergencies - if the urban legend is to be believed.
It wasn\'t originally designed for this but its use as a tissue adhesive is not a legend at all. It was used operationally during the Vietnam war and I have some medical-grade CA in my room, it\'s coloured blue so it\'s easy to spot where it has been used :)

We used to use it at the funeral home to stick things back together.

The superglue I use has a point so you can pierce the foil cover of the tube. A little glue always gets on the top. I also have a bad habit of using my teeth to open bottles and make my brush pointy with my mouth. You can guess the rest. This also causes partial gluing of the lips.

Drank the rinse water and caught my dremel, when I dropped it while it was still running with a small circular blade on, by the blade

I\'ve done that too. Took the entire tip off one of my fingers. It was quite funny to see the ring of blood vessels and the white stuff in the middle, and after a second the blood gushing forth like a fountain. Then it started to hurt like hell and the fun was gone... :(

Never did it again either...

Well, i\'m not surprised. I mean, you\'d chopped it off. Hard to do it again...

It\'s threads like this that make me feel so lucky.
It may not be any fault of my own, but i seem to be the only person i know who finishes any long painting session with blistered hands. Damn old citadel paint pots...

Best superglue story i\'ve heard yet was my father\'s. He has never revealed how he got it in his eye.

But it\'s just so handy that the pots are hexagonal. A plumbing/monkey wrench on the pot, and a rubberised bottle top remover on the cap. The trick is making sure that you don\'t follow that procedure by a blonde moment. :D

Hi,

My blonde moments are very constant, I always let the minis fall out of my hand. It\'s terrible, no matter how careful I try to be the mini will fall out of my hand while painting. If I am lucky it lands just on the painting table and nothing too serious happens but often it falls to the floor and the burst into pieces. If I have really bad luck the mini falls to the floor and I roll with my chair over it while trying to catch it.

ok. let me count...

So, I don\'t have many bad accidents like people here have, BUT I think I have the most \'blonde\' moment...

So, this is recent..about a month ago when working on my engine of the gods (it\'s nearing completion, still doing work on base to hide wires, attach circuit board, etc but may go back and touch up torso)....anyways, I was on the phone with my gf Shilpa right before for like 4 or 5 hours...and was totally out of it, as well as nervous since I was going to the UK soon to meet her, etc (for 1st time).

I reached for the paint...i picked up the superglue instead. Now, the funniest thing is, the glue was zap-a-gap so anyone who knows what that bottle looks like, knows it doesn\'t resemble a vallejo or GW paint bottle (not even a craft paint bottle). I still, was so out of it, i thought it was paint. THEN, I managed to jab the paint brush into the tiny hole (making it larger in process), and take out some of the glue. I then put some into my palette, add a couple drops of water, and begin to apply this to the legs of my dinosaur.....THEN, I realize...wait a minute..this isn\'t paint! AWW CRAP!!! hehe

Yes people, u can laugh at me, i managed to willingly stab a paintbrush thru a glue bottle, not realizing that this is not paint!!!

Other stuff i\'ve done, is some minor cuts via exacto knives, raking myself with a jeweller saw blade, gluing my fingers to various tools, paint brushes, pots, miniatures.

oh oh...i managed to apoxysculpt myself to my table.. elbow was so still as i worked near my face in an upright position, elbow was actually in mixed apoxysculpt and it was semi hardened already...and i was like that for like half an hour...that was kinda funny :)

Oh, i also cut myself with a semi gash via the long spikes of my Engine of the Gods. That was quite sad....

I caught my painting table on fire once.

Believe it or not, I have done this too. And ignited my hands. I lit a cigarette while using thinners based paint on an old space marine mini. Result: burning smell and me laughing idiotically while putting out puddle of pewter. Table startd to burn too.

Ooh also managed to rip my leg open with an old GW chaos dread. 9 parralel gashes later......

I just though of a new one. I have just finished painting a 20 model unit of Vampire Counts Black Knights. I was working on another figure when I grabbed some flesh tone paint that I put in an eye dropper bottle. The paint dried in the bottle. Since the pressure of my squeezing kept building up with nowhere to go, the nozzle blast off sending flesh tone paint over everything. INCLUDING MY FRESHLY PAINTED UNIT OF KNIGHTS!!!!!I yelled so loud our neighbours here in Korea came out of their apartment to see what had happened. lol

I have glued myself to various things as well as using primer on finished models instead of varnising. I test my spray paint before now.

The best story that I have is from our local store where the store owner noticed a young patron with a puddle of super glue in one hand and a puddle of kicker in the other and just stopped him before putting his hands together. Not only would he have stuck his hands together but he may have had chemical burns also.

Is kicker like an accelerator? That would have been hot!

Did I mention that the figure I was painting while gluing myself to the table was the one I had primed instead of varnished that was going to be a christmas present?

Thought not.

Unfortunately I do this sort of stuff all the time, and I am blonde anyway!
