Most fun WFB army to paint?

Well, self-explanatory title, right? :)

Which, in your opinion, is the most fun and interesting (and varying) army to paint for Warhammer Fantasy battles??

Commitment issues.

I have commitment issues with armies. I really want to finish one some day, but every time I get close I get distracted by another army.

I started out with Orcs and Goblins back in version 5 because I thought they were hillarious. I also thought they were the most interesting to look at in the army book.

Then when 6th ed came out I bought the dwarf army book. That was awesome. For the longest time I thought dwarfs were the coolest to paint.

Then I started a Vampire Counts army because my wife is really into vampires. That didn\'t last long.

Then, last summer some time, White Dwarf had an issue with a picture of the Empire Steam Tank. I drooled for about a week. Finally I bought an archived War Wagon and started painting it. Then Empire was the coolest army to paint. That lasted about a month.

Then I had a short affair with Mordheim. I bought enough models to finish half of about 4 separate war bands. None have been paint as yet.

Then I rediscovered Night Goblins. Currently I am working on 2 NG dioramas, one is dangerously close to completion, and 1 NG archer regiment. So right now NG are my favorite.

But it won\'t last. I am expecting a shipment from GW that should be full of dwarfs and a couple of models for a wood elf experiment.

So, to answer your question: the coolest army to paint is Night Goblins, Dwarfs, Wood Elves, Empire, Orcs and Goblins in general, Vampire Counts, Dark Elves, High Elves, and the occasional Mordheim Warband. De Capo al indefinite\'.

ditto....

DAMN MTV and its short attention span it has given me.

I have several armies. I have started several armies. I have no armies painted.
:(

I love painted the undead, cuz messy counts!

I am working on ORCS right now, cuz I like green.

My Wood Elves is probably the most complete I have done.

High Elves and Dark Elves I haven\'t even started.

I recently bought the BEASTMAN army.

So far, I\'d have to say my favorite one to paint is the one I am currently working on at any given time.....

Well, for me Chaos has been the most fun over all to paint. I\'ve done a full Orcs and Goblins army, a full Skaven army, a full chaos army, and assorted models from all the rest. I think it was during Chaos that my painting improved the most and I loved converting everything I could. They\'re probably the army I\'m most proud of right now. I have full lizardmen and Brettonian armies waiting for me. I doubt the Brett\'s will become my fav even though the plastic knights are well done. The lizardmen really look promising. That\'s an army I bought before ever playing a game with them just becuase I like the models.

Fun to paint..

Well, I personally do not enjoy painting engines, tanks, weapons, and helmets, so I prefer armies with lots of faces. :)

I think that orks and goblins are probably my favorite characterful-wise army. I have a special place in my heart for goblins (my favorite goblin encounter ever is in the beginning of Simon R. Green\'s _Blue Moon Rising_) and kobolds (the snotlings remind me of kobolds). I think that GW\'s snotlings are awfully cute.. :) Also, I don\'t think many, if any, of the goblins/orks have masks or helmets on

I also think that the hobbitses (halflings?) are adorable and it\'s a shame they\'re mostly archive.

The other army I think is full of character is definately the dwarf army--although it\'s a pity that it\'s all metal, it doesn\'t give much leeway for conversion or variety within a unit.

Right now I\'m working on a dark elf army, because witch elves are darned cool. ;) Many of the models have helmets or masks, so I am going to have to get past my apathy at painting faceless miniatures. ;)

Lizardmen are great fun to paint! They are so colourful that you can really go to town on them and you can use plastic dinosaurs to add a bit of interest to your army. :D Here are a few of my lizards....

As an ADD guy, I really like bretonians because I can paint each knight differently.

I\'m also fond of the empire, though.. they just have been fun to paint.

Hands down: Slaanesh! What could possibly be more fun than an army of naked women (well, technically they\'re demonettes, not humans, but, hey! I\'m open-minded) lol

Nurgle, Orcs, Zombies :D:bouncy:

I\'d like to do an all zombie army... that\'d be funky.. slow, and more braindeadness in one army that you could ever think of :D

Hey.. so you like creating \"cute\" warhammer armies?? :D I agree that it\'s a very bad thing that there are no halflings in WFB.. i\'d love to do a halfling army! Maybe i\'ll try snotlings instead though, i\'ve never painted any of those.. :)

I enjoy elves because they\'re a little more difficult (and hence satisfying) than others.
Chaos is good because it gives lots more room for conversions and weird colours.
But the empire and Bretonnia are lots of fun too.
