Mounted standard bearer of Alahan

This is one of my favorite sculpts. The highlighting on the whites is rather subtle, and doesn\'t show up well in the picture, but the picture is what the picture is...

Thanks for any votes or comments.

I think I need to \'Ritual\'-ize my painting style and darken things up a bit.lol

Here\'s a close up of the horse\'s head, a little less fuzzy than the posted pic.

The horse does seem very \'alive\' doesn\'t it?

This one is great, and emphasizes your painting style wonderfully.

I paint my thumb.
Let\'s go in details...

The white flash in the eyes, and the muzzle, really look real, this horse could be my friend!

I get more impressed with each visit:eek:

What an absolutley awesome mini this is

(Note to self, buy more Rackham minis)

My favourite part of your paintjob is the flowing script on the banner, very well executed. Is the script based on anything, or just randomness?

The only thing I reckon lets it down a tiny amount is the base, the look of it doesn\'t seem to quite fit with the rest of the model

A 9 from me

Lovely indeed

..I\'ve had this model for a couple of years now - still not been brave enough to paint it

This is a lovely job though and uncannily like the Rackham paint job, although dare I say it, a little flat in areas.

@KingM - re the script, you can actually get the Rackham script for each of the factions as fonts which you can then use in Word. Basically you can write what you want in English and then translate it to Alahan script etc
