Movement trays

Iv just got 4 movement trays for my 4 units of goblin spearmen, thing is, the goblins are 5 wide by four ranks deep, so on each movment tray i have a spare gap, which will fit in another rank. (MT holds 5x5, mine are 5x4)
Is this alright to use in game? Or will i have to buy more goblins or smaller movement trays?

I find this isn\'t really a problem. I guess it might depend on wether you are playing with friends, at a game shop, or a GW tournament. You could always cut the back off the tray as well. Another thing you could look into is playing a few games with the extra rank and seeing how it performs gamewise (the extra combat resolution could be make or break with night goblins, ld 5 UGH!).

Yea! One of my first games my spearman unit panicked and fled, straight through my archers, which inevitably fled aswell, straight off the edge of the table!
I could try the extra models, just havnt got the money at the mo! But il not be playing any tournaments, so this shouldnt be a problem?

Probably won\'t be a problem. You could always just proxy them for a game or even just pretend they are there (*Gasp* shocking idea I know...) to see how it works out. You can leave the extra row there for them or you can cut it off. I personally find that units look best when they fit the entire tray but thats because I\'m a little obsessive about these things ;).

I know all about the fleeing issue... I\'ve played a couple games with the new box and boy did those goblins run. Alot. Once you get a fanatic or two in some of the units it can really make a difference... Your opponent will either try to avoid charging them to release the fanatics or they\'ll just charge right in and generally take a couple wounds before combat even starts.

Oh, where did you get your movement trays? The ones I have only go 5 wide and 4 deep... I wouldn\'t mind getting some deeper ones.

I didn\'t know they changed the size on the textured ones... I might have to take a look at them next time I pick up some stuff...

I find that goblins work best in units of 25 or more (Personally ill go for 30 per unit, but thats just melol)

Yeah i agree with product. I love getting charged with some fanatics in my army. There easy to see but most people dont pay attention and they charge it and they lose 2 units before combat even starts. of course goblins are weak so it might not help

Just load em up. There cheap so give em a full command spears and at leat 30 gobbo. Make the units 6 wide and 5 deep. And make your own movement trays like so

They are cheap quick and help rid the world of unsightly sprue refuse.
