Movie Quiz

I guess I\'d consider a \"major star\" someone who holds lead billing on a
significant ( heavily promoted / advertised release. I would also say they would have had to have made 5+ movies....

I guess Tim Allen would qualify.

Good one...

Comedic actors probably are a good place to look....

I was going to say Humphrey Bogart, but then I remembered him dying. Can you name the film and at who\'s hand? (actor and bonus points for character name)

Another for Bogart. What crime did he commit in \"We\'re No Angels\"

STuck on Bogie...but....

Have not seen a lot of Bogie.

Isn\'t there a movie where he is a criminal hiding out in somebody\'s house ? I think he dies in that ?

I\'ll throw another 3 queries into the mix....

I\'ve played a witch, a baseball groupie, a former rock music groupie, a nun, a dying mother, the mother of a dying child, a lawyer protecting a child and even an airplane wingwalker.

Who am I ?

I am a well regarded 76 year old actor who has played a wide variety of interesting characters.

- The villain in a Spielberg thriller
- The villain in a early 90\'s Stephen King adaptation
- A key role in what some consider a truly frightening and disturbing film from 1973
- The head of SPECTRE
- Twice co-starred with Stallone
- Co-starred with Schwarzenegger

and

- co-starred in David Lynch\'s adaptation of Frank Herbert\'s classic

Who am I ?

Extra Credit if you got these two right....

Name an actor or actress who has co-starred with both the actress and the actor from above....

There may be several...but....

One actor got great notices in the bio of a famous American artist

Another is highly regarded as an actor, director, environmental advocate and host of a major film festival.

Still another is well known as Superman\'s arch enemy and gritty NYC detective for which he won an Oscar.

Answers to my Bogie questions:

In \"Brother Orchid\" the title character played by Edward G. Robinson is a mob boss who is overthrown and hunted down but escapes to a monastery where he decides to become a monk. When his former gang starts muscling the monks for protection money, EGR comes out of retirement and guns down the new boss, Bogart.

In \"We\'re No Angels\" Bogart plays a forger who escapes Devil\'s Island.
This was meant to confuse people who would only know about the crappy 1989 movie staring Penn & DeNiro and would try to think of where Bogart was in it.

Answer to yours
just a guess, but is the second Tim Curry? (oh wait, he\'s not that old)
Then I\'ll guess Susan Sarandin and Gene Hackman for the last bit.

Susan Sarandon, it is....

and Gene Hackman is, of course, Lex Luthor and Popeye Doyle of \"The French Connection\".

The 76 year old actor speaks English as a second language.

There\'s a light on in the castle.....

Duh....Wheels....

How do you list movie references for Susan Sarandon and leave out \"Rocky Horror Picture Show\" ?

\"Dammit, Janet, you\'re a slut......\"

This is what got me thinking of Tim Curry, and TC is what made me think of Sarandin

Even though the TC was wrong, the connection stuck.
