Moving Sucks!

So, here I am in the middle of moving to my new home.
Here are just a few of the things that have just killed my joy.

1.) I let my girlfriend pick out our new furniture, I have to admit it\'s beautiful, but it\'s heavy as hell. It took two grown men and a lot of swearing just to move the headboard of my bed.

2.) My home was broken into and the bastards stole my stove, and get this, all the drawers and shelves out of my refrigerator.

3.) My friggin\' plumber forgot to hook my back bathroom to the septic system, then wanted to charge me when I made him come back.

4.) I called the local cable company to get cable...they said someone would come out to look in 3-5 days, 6 days later I call back, they say the work order is in to be patient.
12 days later they call me and say it will take 30-45 days to run my cable. Why? They have to run 275 feet of cable, not yards, not meters, feet. So I asked them, \"What, you can only run 10 feet a day?\"

All in all this has been one of the most miserable moves I have ever made.

PS. My collection of paints and mini\'s weighed more than my love seat. :D

Getting built, that was included in the loan :D
Hopefully they don\'t screw that up otherwise I might go postal.

PS...just to let you know this is how long it\'s been taking to get everything done. I posted about the new workshop like what 6 mos. ago?

Generally, the explanation behind these seemingly mystery thefts, is that the perpetrator is a recent victim themselves.

Some time ago, (In my youth) I parked my motorbike outside a cafe for a few minutes...when I came out and had driven a few miles down the road I realised my speedo wasn\'t working. Upon inspection I found that some git had unscrewed the speedo cable and removed the inner, drive cable. \'No problemo\' thought I. How much can a new speedo cable be???

You can guess the rest.....:flip:

Dude, what part of BR did you move to?

Actually, I moved to Prairieville, right outside of BR.
My nearest neighbor is 500 yards away and is my mom.:bouncy:

I\'m building a workshop ( a small barn 16\'w X 20\' l X 16\'h)
Only the second floor ( an enclosed, insulated , air conditioned loft) is to be used for mini\'s. :D

Wow, sorry for all those troubles, hop it works out.
And I\'m actually one of those people who likes moving, it always seems like an exiting experience to me. Of course I\'v never had to take care of all the details ( new house, movers, ect...) so that might explain it :p
