Got some friends in the Sugarland area - and I know there are a couple of folks here from Houston -

Welcome to the Republic.

Houston!! Ya gotta go to Nan\'s games and comics! Third planet is ok, more anime and toys, though. If Horizon is still on ElDorado in Clear Lake it\'s a store, not a great (good?) store, but it\'s there.

My info is a good two years old on the last one, but Nan\'s is there, Nan\'s has LOTS o\' stuff. It\'s a disaster area, and OLD shop packed to capacity, kind of fills the gamer stereo-type on the appearance and stuff, but we loved it. They (used to, always did, so most likely still do) keep a board up to advertise groups and look for other gamers......

Oh, BTW, Deer Park? Make sure to be ready for the weekly tests of the alarm system.... Really freaked me out the first time I experienced it when we got an apartment in La Port. And pay attention to the Shelter in Place and Evacuation information that you should get soon after moving there. The refineries are something to take seriously.

Tell the trees, Strawberry Park, and the area hi for me...... Believe it or not, I miss the place, grew up there.

Nan\'s has deteriorated so much in the last 5 years that I will not go there.

So far as gameing in H-Town

There is
Enigma Games
Little Wars
All the Fun Stuff
Avalon Games
Horizon Games
3 GW Stores (Rice Village being the best IMO)
I\'m sure I am forgetting a couple. They play everything in Houston but there is no real orginized clubs like mine. The closest thing is the HAWGS that run the big Warhammer Indy Grand Tournement every year. In fact it is comeing up at the end of next month

Hope that helps
