I like the concept art but I think it\'s a bit early to give an opinion on the green. A bigger picture would be nice too (hard to see the details).

OoT : IMHO, this thread should be in the \"Discuss Submissions\" or the \"Painting & Conversions\" forum.

greenstuff yeah hard to tell much about it at this point and the pic jason snapped is a bit blurry..i think the size is really impressive..I like large monsters ..seems chern should have a greens section as many are submitted..oh seen youre giant green pretty cool ..a bit anerexic for my taste but cool

Can\'t tell from the green as its small, but if the legs are done, I would say beef them up a goodly bit, seem a bit spindly too me. Should be interesting when its done.

temporary your right if these are any indication of the minis hes doing im not worried at all..i tend to like about everything he does and has done for us so far

Nathan exactly hard to go on a wip but i agree on the beefiness..hopefully he can follow the concept pretty closely all we have had done so far have been free form designs.

It\'s not the sculpting that bothers me, it\'s the concept. It seems really dated and unfashionable. I\'ve just been looking at Iron Kindgdoms stuff and I\'m judging comparatively. Iron Kingdoms has won my my heart! I think the bar has been raised once again. Thematically their stuff is just so together, if you get my meaning. Atmospheric and reminiscent of Japanese RPG for some reason. Hoorah!

It looks like the legs are not quite finished yet in the picture, especially the right leg. I think they need to be beefed up as well.

I love the concept art and I would really like to see a cool Ettin.

Jason is one of the best of the \"new\" sculpters out there. So it should look very cool in the end.

Reverend Its my thinking we cant make minis to suit everyone and thats cool with me thats why there are so many miniature companies to choose from but our ettin looks like nothing thats been done before size and look..we wanted a more of a Ray HarryHausen feel ..if you know who he is

Drake I agree hard to tell much about a wip..the concept i like alot myself..never have i seen a giant or ettin with 2 different looks on either side..definitely not following the old style looks of one body wth just 2 heads..i think ignazio was going for old he-man look when he designed it hehe

I certainly know who the fella is. And you\'re right, you can\'t make stuff to please everyone. I\'m just giving my opinion though :innocent:

Reverend yeah it all comes down to style you like we are all cynics in some form or fashion..wheter it be painting styles..miniatures etc..myself i think all Rackham females are anerexic but i still like the minis alot..so its all good

The forums are good feedback and marketing tools and a good place to garner public opinion. I agree about Rackham ladies too by the way lol

Jason Weibe is one of my favorite sculptors. He does fantastic monsters. I\'ll reserve judgement on this one until it is finished.

Vikey yeah i havnet been dissappointed yet with anything hes done for us when it comes to monsters hes uaually spot on..hes finally crossed over into characters with some nice stuff so we might have him do something in that genre..not really good getting just known for one thing so lets see what happens.

At risk of labouring the point, he might be the best sculptor in the world but if the concept is not good the end product ain\'t going to appeal. Blimey, I\'m beginning to sound like a parrot.
