Hello.

Because today I am finished with painting I post you another WIP of mine. I my lokal store for this hobby I have got the privilege to be the first, who looks into the "black box". This is a small Box that GW sends every premium retailer with models and rules, that will come out soon. But I am not only allowed to look in, but to take from 0 to all models for fun painting.

Last time I have found one, where I have tought: Great a big banner and a little bit of practising skin...

Well... now I hate models with more than 10% skin... But the skin is finished for the corpse... so here my effords:

Hi Taggi,

I've got to be honest, when i first saw this painted up by GW, i was almost sick.

But your's has pretty much changed my mind on it, those reds are brilliant, and it just shows how a good paintjob can help a dodgy mini. Nice one :good:

I have to agree with Mick and The Captain. You sure that this is the same model as the ones the are in WD? It is looking 100% better then theirs. Keep it up!:brushwave:

Hi Taggi, I thought this model was irredeemable, you've not convinced me... yet! But I am wavering :)

'Eavy Metal's painter who did the studio job should be strapped to a chair with their eyelids pegged open & forced to watch this WIP thread through to it's conclusion, his eyes moistened by the tears of the sculptor who's weeping in thanks for your perhaps justifying the continuance of his career. Or is that a bit strong? :innocent:

Very nice flesh paint, particularly the front facing shot of the nose :good:

I've not even seen this model yet online, course, like OP, its supposed to be super-secret! Anyone have any links of the apparently horrible GW-painted ones?

Wow...after seeing that picture, I thought someone liked something from their old 90's line or something. WOW. Serious suck.

Amazing job on this one Taga, I think you've turned alot of people around to buying these!

I paint my thumb.
Smooth, really really smooth.

I think there are a couple muscle on this guy that defy my anatomic knowledge, but, hey, it's fantasy :p

Oh, wow. I like the red so much better than GW's stuff. Taggi, you are quickly becoming one of the most fun painters on the site to watch.

A vast improvement on the GW colour scheme, making the figure look far more brutal than the standard caucasian skin colour.
Although I think GW were "far off the mark" with the sculpts on these figures, your painting has given them some redemption.

Really good. This red is much better than GW's colour scheme. The highlights on the red are very smooth.

When I first looked at this I was like what model is that....and then it hit me...GW new Minotaurs....my jaw dropped. I was one of the ppl who did not mind the new mini but hated how GW painted them...you brought justice to the new line of minotaurs.

well i have to agree with luna, after all, there are tons of minotaur minis that looks better than this one model out there. but, you have done a fantastic job with gws new one, its almost not recognizeable! very smooth painting and super colorchoise. it need some dirt though! :)

Oh, id did not by it... It is out of the black box. Its only fun painting for my hobby shop, not more...
