I agree with the Freak, fantastic paint, the sculpt is just too much. Technical good but a bit too OTT.

Having seen this in RL I can attest to how spankingly good it is; the photos do it only partial justice!

I like everything about this paintjob. Dynamic shading, good color theory and detailing. I also have reservations about the sculpt. As I've stated on a previous thread, I feel the movie League of Extraordinary Gentlemen basically turned him into an ogre. But really I think this had it's roots in the Fredrich March version of the film where they made him very ape-like and so instilled a physical quality into him. I prefer the two Johns versions (Barrymore and Malkovich) which were both closer to the book and more cerebral. But Hyde isn't the first character to have a dramaticaly different popular view of him vs. the source material- just look at the Karloff Frankenstein monster vs. the book.

Anyways, sorry to get off on a that tangent- still a great looking project!

Great paint job on a difficult sculpt.

And Having seen the same films, I agree with Crispy.

Especially the last sentence! Great looking project, very well done.

Thanks guys,

for what it's worth I had a very similar outlook on frank until I started painting him. The more I painted the more I appreciated the sculpt to a point where for me it's the best infamy miniature. I certainly wouldn't have said that before painting him.
