Good graphics, but I think the content could have been on 1-2 pages for better readibility... wait, is that a word? :p

Prevention...

Really, you shouldn\'t have a problem with the paint running into the crevices. The key is to find the right mixture of paint/extender/flow-aid/water to allow the paint to stay wet but not be as runny as a track star. If you\'re diluting with a ration of 1:3 (paint to extender/flow-aid/water) it should keep the paint moist for a while, but still have enough surface tension of the paint to stay where you put it. When you get your paintbrush wet to extend the paint out, make sure it\'s just damp, otherwise it WILL run into the crevices. Hope that helped Wurz.

very nice!

Good job Margo, that is a technique that really does need a good definition and you have given it!

My trouble with feathering is that I don\'t \'see\' the results right away, so I tend to get impatient and glob on less diluted paint for the highlight, which really just makes a rough edge and loses all the benefits of the technique.

SO, what I really need is an article on PATIENCE!!lol

Maybe I\'ll do one for you, but you\'ll have to wait until I can get around to it.

How do you prevent your watery highlights from running into the crevaces of the model.

I think Doughnut explained it all in a very good and detailed way. It is also very important to controll the amount of paint on your brush. But you have to figure that on your own -- it depends on the brush type and size you\'re using, I believe.

that reminds me of a really bad joke I used to think was funny when I was a kid..

\"How do you keep a jackass in suspense?\"

\"I\'ll tell you later..\"

(hey! it is still funny!) lol

I hate you Margo. I found this article just before digging out a Bretonnian archer. Slight problem however, I seem to feel like using it on his coat, which is split into many tiny square parts.

However, headaches aside, its turning out quite well. :)
