my arwen wot won me a demon like innit?

Hey! i\'ve finally got round to getting a montage put together of my arwen mini. please have a looksy and tell me what you think. i honestly didn\'t think she would make first cut when i finished her a few days before the GD, my painting enthusiasm had hid an all time low (as some of you had garnered from my forum posts). i was totally freaked out when i saw it on the winners shelf after it seemed to take an age to get a green sticker in the first place. I am very proud that i can say that my painting is of golden demon level (even if i complete like 2 minis a year), it\'s just a shame my photography isn\'t at the same point.:D

big hello to all the Cmoners who shared in my joy, and to all the painters that entered the category, even if some of them are a bit peeved that they didn\'t win.

this mini will be going in the works of heart auctions mid december (after it has been photographed for white dwarf) so look out for it please.

Hey stuart! This is so great! I saw it in real, and I was very impressed! the colours are perfect, smooth, and the freehand is just great. The pale face fits arwen realy well!

nice work! and congrats on your deamon! :) not one of my favourites in the category I must admit (it was a very tough category), but I like it non the less. The freehand and face are very nice and the entire mini has a nice smooth finish. You could have added a very very subtle colouring to the cheeks to offset the pale skin and that might just be the thing that should have made it pop more for me. But again nice work. and these lotr minis are small.. difficult to paint. Entered the same category :)

Fantastic Medved the face is great and the whole mini just breathes elegance. I wish I\'d seen this in the flesh at GD.

Very nice, i\'ve got to say the face is one of the best i\'ve seen, and the entire paintjob is flawless, you\'ve done justice to an amazing sculpt. congrats on the demon :)

Oh, but that is some absolutely spectacular work, Medved. She doesn\'t shine or glitter like other entries might, but she\'s down to earth and feels more real than the minis that are so liberally dusted with \'bling\' and NMM. I do think her cheekbones could have been accentuated a little more, but a truly deserving win, mate, a deserving win.

cheers guys! i wanted to creat a solemn wintery feel to this mini, hence the muted colours. her face is painted using cyril\'s excellent tutorial on painting his mech pilot. it produces a really pale effect ( iwas worried it might be too pale) but creates a realistic finish.
