No i\'m not pregnant and never will be being male and everything. My W&N series 7\'s are coming 1 size 0, 1 size1 and 1 size 000. Let me know what you think of them if you have them or would just like to say that you want them.:p

Thanks, Sam

I have 1 size 00, 1 size 0 and 1 size 1. But I found out you nearly can do EVERYTHING with size 0. ;)
At first I didn\'t like the W&N brushes, because I only was used to synthetic brushes but after I while I learned to love them... lol
You can do rather big surfaces as well as tiny little spots. The tip of the brush is very pointy and the brushes are very robust. Also I handle my brushes with care and clean them with paint remover and shampoo ;) most of my brushes don\'t survive longer than half a year. (Particularly the synthetic brushes tend to get a twisted tip :( )
But I now use my W&N brushes about a year and they are as good as new. :)
Love them, you have made a good choice even if they are a little bit expencive.

They are good brushes (have a few myself) and last very long given proper care. They are a bit on the expensive side (not a huge problem as they last so long) and you can find brushes of equal quality to lower prices.

But, the price aside, they are excellent brushes!

ArtiFolk.co.uk Kinda Hard to find on there as they dont have a very well constructed site. I am hoping to be able to highlight with straighter lines rather than the bobbly ones that my crappy gw ones make.

They hold their points MUCH better than GW\'s brushes (unless you get bad ones, which CAN happen... then you should contact the store and complain) and it will certainly make practice easier and more fun.

I have 2 size 0\'s a size 1 and a size 4. I use the 0\'s for almost everything except larger surfaces and washing, for which i use the 1 and 4.

Excellent, a GW guy not advertising GW stuff! :D I laughed when I saw in WD how they quoted Nano (Fernando Carbonell) as saying \"I always use GW paints and brushes. They are the best to paint with.\" I reckon some of you \'Eavy Metal folks use VMC paints for some things too :]

Anyhow, W&Ns are excellent. I\'ve had my size 0 for almost a year, and even afer a superglue encounter it works perfectly. I use it for everything, and I don\'t even take very good care of it lol

Superglue. and it\'s still fine? ??? Now that\'s a trick I don\'t think I could reproduce.

My W&Ns7 0 is about 9 months old, and is starting to lose its point faster and faster. When first wet it\'s razor sharp, but rapidly fishtails or just gets... I dunno... fluffy. (not like Mike & Ali fluffy, cuz that would be great.) Oddly enough, I think my rarely used W&Ns7 00 is getting a better point on it lately. What was the question again?

@HakoMike, Have you tried giving it a good clean with brush soap. It may be paint in the furrule (sp?) that is causing it to split. I clean mine about once a month, its amazing how much crap can build up in them.
If not then i would just suggest buy another brush lol

I only ever use a W/N7 miniature size 1 for everything I do from basecoat to freehand to eyes. and I\'ve used the same one for 8 month. So at about $8 that dickblick charges, I don\'t really worry about the cost so much.

I give it a good washing in B&H Brush Cleaner and Preserver soap a couple times a week now. (Disk shaped solid block of soap.)

@EricJ, you make a great point. Why W&N\'s are so expensive at art supply stores and in Europe is a mystery, but I should just get a few from dickblick and give my current size 0 a fond farewell to the \"basecoat\" pile. :(

I would send them back and order from somewhere else.

I got this for £25, sold the 2 big squirrel hair brushes and bought another 2 series 7.

4 brushes, brush soap, cleaning towel thing, and a great wooden brush case for £25
I really don\'t think thats to expensive.
