Hello there! I recently got back into Warhammer after playing the Space Marine XBox game 
The last time I painted a miniature was about 10 years ago so I thought I would have another go as I've got a little bit better at painting since then.
I was torn between painting Imperial Fists or Blood Angels, they are my fave colour schemes but I thought I would go for Blood Angels as I think painting yellow can be quite tricky (and difficult to cover up mistakes!)
I decided to go oldschool and paint black trim on their shoulder pads (they seem to be nearly all red these days!) I was inspired by John Blanche's artwork on the (2nd Edition?) box and old Codex and copied the yellow and black patterns on the shoulder pads and blue helmets on some of my squad.
I remembered that they never made a figure of the Captain so I thought I would give it a go.... then I found out they are bringing out a proper figure of him for this year's Gamesday - it's like they read my mind that I always wanted a figure of him
I hope you like my models, any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I had a go at the orange highlighting technique but couldn't quite get the hang of it - it just looked like orange paint slapped on it :S
