ok, so patience isn\'t my strong suit, so here is my CCV entry (about 10 minutes after results came up :p)

May Faith Protect

I\'m still a little amazed at the results, CCV was my first painting competition ever. Thanks everyone! :)

I really want to say bad things...

...:moon:...;)...but I won\'t! :innocent: This is one of my favourite pieces this year! (in general not the comp) Absolutely astounding, the Dragons head is such a winner,there\'s such menace! I can\'t wait to see what you do for FF\'s comp, cheers ;)

I absolute love it. You rival victoria in your ccreative use of light, shadows and above all reflections. Bravo indeed.

On another note, someone in North America needs to get their hands on Dragonsreach\'s hammer. Otherwise painters like me are going to have no chance of gaining even an honourable mention in painting competitions. And we can\'t have that now, can we?

Ahhh ... what I\'d give to actually have some artistic talent ... another awesome piece Eric ... a great idea and yet more awesome freehand from your brushes!!!

Congrats on the win Eric, most deserving. The question that I have is did you have a dragon to help with the shadow or was it all freehanded? Voted and commented.

I had a picture of a dragon that I used for the concept, but it was done freehand. I don\'t know if you remember but about 2 months ago I started a silly thread asking if people knew where I could find photos of dragon silouettes, that was for this.

This is a good example of something similar to an idea I have for my GD dual entry. Do you think a duel where you only see one combatant, but a shadow/reflection of the 2nd because they\'re invisible would be accepted as a duel?

Your best bet would be to call the GW trolls to ask them.
But I\'d think that unless the judges really hate you I don\'t really see a reason not to accept it.

totally agree...

I think innovation is the one thing the GW judges really look for.

Having just one miniature on a base and then say \"its fighting an invisible foe\" would be one thing, but doing what you do, especially if it were consistant with the GW \"world\" could really be fanstastic.

The sense of drama alone should be worth a Gold!!

But, as many times in the past, Frenchkid speaks with wisdom, you\'d best find out the rules for sure before investing that kind of effort into it.

Yes, but in the story (in your head though it may be), did she survive? THAT\'s what I want to know :)

Nice work again, very nice indeed. It looks V Lamb-like but it has your own touches too. Another step on from the usual OSL.

Ok, so I\'ve had a few comments hoping to see Tiriel close up, so I got her back out this morning and reshot some photos to get a better look at the painting of the model itself, and added a new post. Please take a look, I hope this helps.
