This price gouging has been going on since day one.
When I discovered GW ( late 80\'s ) you could buy 3 Rhinos Mk 1 for $10.00 ( box set ), They changed to 1 for $10.00 and the old Landraider was expensive at $18.00.
Move the clock forward to late 90\'s ( just before introduction of the new Rhino ), still selling the old Mk 1s at $39.00 each.
If you want to complain, you should try being on the retail side and deal with GW. We stopped selling years ago because even though we the retailers were selling their product, they perceived the retailer as compitition and did little thing like shipping to their stores on Friday and not ship to retailers till your shipping day. Ours was Wednesday for Thursday delivery, so the new product was in their store for a week before we go to see it. By that time the kids who are spending daddy\'s money already had it. Even though we were offering a 15% discount on all GW product ( new or Old, everything in the store is discounted ) Gw even threatened to stop selling to us if we didn\'t bring out prices into line with theirs. The boss asked if they can please put that in writing, they realized what they said. Needless to say we never saw the letter.
This is just the tip of the iceburg.I could go on for hours. I\'m in a love/hate relations with GW. I have nothing against the staff, great guys, but they are forced to push GW retail practice.
As they say, speak with your wallet because they are obviously deaf.
