My empire wizard GD entry

Hello all.

Had a quality time at my first GD. I went with the aim of making the first cut and did! :D so I’m happy.

I would appreciate feedback on what could be improved though from you guys out there.

Myself, I’m really happy with the dress and the flesh. The silver blade is pretty pants, but I always seem to struggle with flat metals. I think I’ve done better gems in the past too, but this was a bit of a rush job toward the end!!

Thanks again people, and I look forward to your comments.

First off, she is a good mini. Much better than I produce.

I would like to see the photo stacked up instead of across. Lets the individual pics be bigger and us see more.

I am thinking freehand: lots of fabric there to do \"embrodery\" on. The scarf and the dress. Some designs down the scarf and along the hem of the dress would really make this mini pop.

I have to agree with Airhead. You painted everything on this figure quite well, paying careful attention to even small bits. Improving at this point would basically mean adding even more detail in the form of freehand work. I would be more than pleased to put out anything approaching this level of quality.

The one thing I might nitpick on is the face, (and it might even be that you planned it this way) because it seems that she went out of the house without her makeup. The lips match the cheeks, and the eyes and eye brows are hard to distinguish, even from a fairly close look of the mini.

In real life, this lack of definition tends to be a trait of light blondes and some redheads, as their brows and lashes are blonde (creating the lack of definition when seen with fair skin) and the lips don\'t have as much pigment as they might otherwise because of, again, their fair skin. All of which works if the hair is light, but you have more of a dirty blonde going on, and I think the eye naturally wants to see more color in the cheeks and lips, and maybe more of the eyes as well.
