Hi all,

This is the fifth miniature I have uploaded on CMON. Thought I\'d ask around to see if anyone has any constructive thoughts/criticism on how to improve my painting skill. The miniature can be found at: http://www.coolminiornot.com/100973

Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Bye,
Jacky

ps. last weekend I showed the mini to Minimaker and Cdukino, and already got some tips about taking the highlights on the miniature a bit further, this would also seperate the different parts more.

Hi Jacky

I have voted and also left you a comment, that is rare for me these days :) your base colour work is good and I can see some shading and highlighting but I think where you could realy improve is to take those highlights further to make the mini realy pop.
The thing that stands out for me on this mini is the base as that I think is excellent.
This is a very good effort for your fifth mini keep it up.

Nice job. You seem to have all the basic skills. I love the base the color selection is good. Just need to go the next step. Good work.

I think your mini suffers a bit from bad lighting. I tried to see beyond the photo and I think you have an 8 there. The base is a bit monochromatic. The foliage could use some randomness. Nice piece.

Hey people,

Thanks for the comments so far! I\'ll take a look at the higher (or lighter for that matter) highlights on my next mini. Not sure yet which miniature that will be. At the moment I\'m working on a few gaming miniatures for Rackham\'s Hybrid, a Warmachine goblin, a sorcerer from Werner Klocke\'s Freebooter miniatures, and a Spyglass lady.
The deep red colour is some Vallejo red shaded/deepened with some OOP Citadel/GW turquoise.
Thanks again for the comments!

Bye,

Jacky
