My First 3 Minis

Well as per the title, these are my first 3 miniatures.
I feel like I've been learning a little from each one, any advice would be appreciated.

Also, they are in the same order, that I first started them.

1.- Knight.
2.- Priest.
3.- Barbarian Chief.

Welcome :)
I'm liking your progress so far.
Keep your paints thin and build up several layers to stop the paint from lumping up.

Hi t0tex, welcome to the forums!

Youve clearly made progress with each of your minis so far. The consistency and coverage problems most obvious on the storm cast cloak are easing up. You managed to paint the details neatly on the barbarian, and that sort of brush control takes a lot of people a long time to pick up.

You'll find that a lot of the advice you get early on is as Ten Ball said, thin your paints and use multiple layers. You're already getting the hang of shading and highlighting, but you need a good consistent base on the mini to make use of them properly.

And if in doubt, check the Warhammer TV painting tutorials on YouTube. They're brilliant for beginner advice.

Yeah as I wrote I feel like I've been learning a little from each mini, now for my next project I just found out today about El wet pallette and definitely goign to try that, guess that would help me to keep my paints thinned down.
Next project probably a Fyreslayer

I just started using one myself over the last two models I painted. They do help with being able to thin paints down about as well as any other palette, but what I like about them is that it keeps your paints from drying out over a couple of days so you can go back to mixed colors without having to remix them.

Here goes the 4th, this one was a blast, so many details, still improving!

Still missing the Varnish and was thinking about highlighting the 2 skulls with a couple of Ivory or Bone color lines in the borders.

edit: also some minor details that I just saw in the pictures.
