So a long troller walks into the forums...I have been a member of this great site for years now, a few posts under my belt. But as of yet to make a submission for judging.

This is not my first painting, but my first submission onto the site. comments and criticisms would be appriciated. I just need to work on my photography also..

also which would be the better to post up for judging of the 2 i have here?

not the best pics, a bit dark and the white balance seems off but it looks like you have done a good job. eyes look a little stare-y and he looks a little glossy but otherwise seems good. esp the white, which is a difficult colour to paint

thanks! yeah the glossy is from a coat of Brush-on Sealer from Reaper MasterSeries. I am looking into finding a dull coat protective sealer.

Well I like this, there is some areas of shading on the white which are a little rough but otherwise the white looks good. From the pictures it does seem 'glossy' but not as bad as many I've seen, in fact what you've achieved is a sweaty look to the skin which is very appropriate. Look forward to seeing more of your work.

I think pic one shows your mini off better.

Instead of just repeating what the others say, my criticism would be that he doesn't feel like he is a part of the base. If feels like he is just stuck on. I think filing off those parts on his feet would make him feel more connected.
