My first Celtos

Hi!

This is my first try at a Celtos mini, and I have to say I loved painting her. I really like the large, clean areas that aren\'t covered in detail, it makes for good blending practice. I tried SE NMM on the sword, but I\'m not sure how it came out For a first try I\'m happy though.

Hope you like her and any comment is most welcome :)

Oh, and the base is from Groundforge. Lovely stuff to work with!

As with all your minis Anja (I hope I got the spelling right) she is beautiful and the sword is fantastic.
I am like you going to attempt NMM for the first time on my next mini and hope that I am as successful as yours is.
Problem for me is trying to work out what are the best GW colours to use for grey and gold metals.

Anja, that is a fantastic mini! The skin and face are excellent!

@tidoco
Before I switched to Vallejos I used the following for steel:

- Codex Grey and Chaos Black for shadows
- Codex Grey for the base coat
- Codex Grey mixed with more and more Ghostly Grey (I think that\'s what it\'s called) for highlights
- Ghostly Grey on its own and finally Skull White

I never worked out a good recipe for gold until I switched to Vallejos, though, so I can\'t help you there.

Anja! Fantastic!! I have always loved this mini and your paintjob really does her justice! I\'d like to see some war-paint though ;)

@Tidoco, for gold, try Snakebite leather for the shadows blended to bubonic brown and then to white.

Thanks! I\'m glad you liek her, as I do so myself :)

Unfortunately I didn\'t see the chipped paint until after I had taken the picture and since it was like 5am, I was too tired to fix it. I should have though, it is a bit annoying...

@Avicenna
I thought about warpaint, but I didn\'t want to mess up the skintones (yeah, yeah, I was a coward lol) Next time I will try it though.

double wow!

That skin is so realistic it looks pinchable (ahem...;))

Great job on the sword as well. It looks less pinchable and more cutable.....

Outstanding as always Anja, however I have a sort of silly complaint about this one. The skin tones are so realistic the rest of the mini sort of pales by comparison. NOT that I\'m saying change anything and it sill gets high marks from me. Just something that I noticed ;)

I look forward to seeing your next work!
