Not bad at all for 3 hours work. Welcome to the forums.

What happened to the base?

Thanks, airhead. My friend and I are both big fans of Ben \'Yahtzee\' Croshaw\'s Zero Punctuation video game reviews, and in a fit of stupidity I decided to name him \'Gareth Gobulcoque\'. So I daubed it on the base. You can watch said review here.

In hindsight not the wisest idea, but my mate\'s 12 yr old son (whose mini it is) really likes the model. That\'s why there\'s mould lines on it, he assembled and primed the mini.

Mind you, he did the whole Ork battleforce (assembly) in under 3 hours and his art teacher let him prime the figures in his art class and get marked for it. Not too shabby for his first miniatures, I think.

Hmmmn An Art Teacher with some \"common sense\".
Nice to see.

Well the art teacher runs the Warhammer club, so there may be a bit of vested interest. Apparenly they have a massive supply of kit, including over 10 sets of the £100 city ruins.

It\'s all a far cry from my days when my R.E. teacher had a go at my mum because I ran a D&D game at school. Apparently I was leading my fellow pupils to satan.

It wasn\'t too funny at the time. In the 80\'s it was quite a big thing, all very Frederic Wertham \'Seduction of the Innocent\'. How the D&D magic spell list was an occult primer and the like. People weren\'t as informed as they were now. It was a bit like the furore over video games but bigger. There were loads of crappy american TV movies about kids who played D&D then murdered their friends, like Mazes and Monsters (with amazing paper miniatures for painting, if memory serves).

Reactionary t*ssers.

Good solid tabletop quality. A 3 hours by my speed a touch slow for one mini for unit/army quality. When doing tabletop I like to paint between 5 and 10 at once (though 10 can be pushing it if there is much detail), you will find that with practice you can do 5 in the same 3 hours to the same quality.
