Hey guys im a total technophobe and have no idea how to get my photos into a WIP thread. Please advise. In the meantime here is an ok photo of my renegade ogryn. Let me know what you think and any ideas/comments on painting or how to improve my images would be really appreciated. I hope to be a regular now. You guys inspire.

Happy painting!

I paint my thumb.
I'd say you got the colors right, blending ain't bad. Paint seems a bit too thick, and maybe needs more highlights on the top areas.
Keep it up :)

Very nice looking so far. As far as getting pics into the forum, I'm a fan of

looks good but i agree with green one you've just about gotten away with the paint thickness but i would watch it when the time comes to paint the guardsman. keep it thin anorexic

Hey green one, thanks for your comments. I water my gw paints down to a milky texture and build colours up over many layers but still learning. Ive almost finished skin now so will post another piccie as soon as i can take a half decent one, and skellets i had no idea i even put the thumbs down icon on my post. Gutted!

Hi Horde, I see you have a Smiley next to your last post so may differ but I had the Thumbs Down affliction for a bit, if I remember rightly I had to enable a blocked script on the page.

The mini looks to be coming on nicely, an action filled sculpt that should look suitably scary/horrific once complete. Are you thinning your paints from layer 1? If so I'd suggest less dilution on the base layers (particularly with paints with white in them like pink fleshtones) for smoother application. Then thin further for layering/blending in highlights & shades. It's a bit quicker too! Oh, and catch that blob of white on his forearm while you still have the skin paints out (or is that putty, it looks very thick, might just chip off) ;)

Cheers, B.

PS you see where on your Imageshack page there's the links on the right, copy the direct one & stick it between image tags, where I've left a space...

...should do the trick :) Play around in your next post, you can always edit it!
