My first go at NMM

Well I\'ve finally had it with \"real\" metallics. I\'m in the midst of painting my new High Elf army and I\'ve hit the wall with using them. The P3 ones are garbage, even though the rest of the paints are a blast to use. I\'ve used GW\'s but I never really got the consistency just right.

I\'ve had it.

So, until I can cool down on those, I\'m going to go on an adventure and try NMM for an entire army. NMM is something I\'ve always wanted to try so this will be \"fun\".

Here\'s what I\'ve done tonight:

My main focus was the edge of his robe tonight. I\'m new to NMM, but it helps that my blending has gotten a lot better since I\'ve been painting nearly every day now.

This will be an on-going process. Any C&C is greatly appreciated :)

Ok Try getting hold of the Vallejo AIRBRUSH Paints.
Their mettalics:-

Black
Steel
Aluminium
Chrome

have extremely fine particles and make GW\'s mettalics look like Shiney Sand.
Sadly the Gold isn\'t quite as Strong in colour as any other Yellowish metal but is still as fine.

Awesome, thanks DR.

I\'ve heard a little about them but I\'ve never tried them. Are they good right out of the bottle or do they need a medium? I\'ll try these out this weekend then.

Oh Yeah.
Hot, Locked and ready to Rock.

Best thing about them is that you can work them into a NMM style of painting and get a superb effect.

Excellent! I\'ll have to pick some up this weekend then. I\'m excited! I\'ll pick up some gold, silver, and I\'ll see what else they have.

Now when you say it\'s thin, it\'s not \"runny\" is it? I\'m looking for metallics that actually behave like normal paint. I\'m finally doing good blending and I\'m getting pickier and pickier about the performance of anything that comes off my brush!
