Welcome!
Here are some links to your photos..
(insert random comment of CMONers being lazy and need links posted for them)

First off, I think it would help your scores to crop the pictures a bit more, add them (front and back views) together into one pic and submit that way. Check out the articles section for some great pointers on photo-taking,lighting, and creating panoramic views.

You are off to a good start with your painting. Good color choices. I\'d suggest thinning the paint even more to help get a smoother finish.

This is a good start. I agree with supervike on what he said. Read the photo articles and then apply what\'s being said there and experiment. Use a backdrop of some sort, since that will put focus on the mini. Also, do something with the base. It doesn\'t have to be fance or complicated, but an empty base makes the mini look unfinished. Then it\'s just practise, practise, practise. :D You should be able to get really good looking minis, considering you already seem to have a grasp of the basics.

@Supervike
I\'ve contemplated on the general consensus that us CMONers are a lazy bunch. Still, everytime someone posts asking for comments, someone provides links and it\'s not just one or two people who does that; everyone seems to do that! :D

Voted & commented! (well a comment on the first one :D).

Supervike\'s advice is all true, and ive said what I need to say on the comment. But very good effort, keep up with the hobby and we should see some good stuff from you in the future (dont be disappointed that you haven\'t started with 8\'s.9\'s or 10\'s).

Smile, you should be happy!! And read LOTS of articles, they all are good!:D

lollol It has almost become a running joke, and you are absolutely right, almost invariable one of us \'lazy gits\' inserts links (followed by a comment on how lazy we are)..pure comedy!lol

try using a more neutral backdrop for your pictures. Your paintjob looks like it has a lot of yellowish tones in it, so an ochre backdrop isn\'t a very good idea

for a good looking base without too much effort try this: glue on some sand with white glue. Prime this together with the rest of the figure, basecoat dark brown and dry brush in a lighter tone. After that, glue on some static grass :)

You are off to a good start and from what I can see have the basics well sorted out. Just keep practicing and posting WIP shots (there is a thread up and running just for this) and you will receive lots of helpful hints and tips to point you in the right direction. Basically just keep it up the way you are.;)
