My first new mini in over a year

Well I don\'t know where the time has gone but it has been over a year since I have visited here. It\'s also been over a year since I\'ve painted a mini. In that time I have move back to the U.S. after spending 20 years living in Europe. Sure does feel strange to be back. So much has changed.

Anyway I hope you like my submission. I started back with something simple so I could finish it in a reasonable amount of time. You wouldn\'t believe how slow I paint. I know it\'s not great but it\'s mine. My plan is to finish at least one mini every two weeks. So you guys have permission to nag if I don\'t follow through with that.

It wasn\'t that bad. The greenish tone on the skin wasn\'t doing it for me, but that\'s more a personal choice. Just it sort of matched the turtle shield and seemed a bit weird.

And welcome back. You\'ll find that the place has become quite a bit more loony. If it helps, just go crazy as well. Not possible to drive you insane if you already are!

Was a bit glossy. Some dullcote would do wonders for this mini. Good first effort back!

Thanks for the input. The skin isn\'t actually green. I used VGC\'s scrofulous brown. I may have overdone it with the wash though. My upcoming submission is already looking much better. It\'s the original orc druid from WOTC. I found it in a bargain bin for about $1 and couldn\'t pass it up. Hopefully it will be done soon.
