My first NMM and free hand work

Hi guys,

this is my first attempt at NMM seriously and a large area of freehand.

Can anyone give my stuff a critique and say what you like and don\'t like so i know what areas i need to work on more as i am starting to get a bit more adventerous with my stuff.

I think the free hand stuff is pretty well-done, especially the NMM tracery on the back of the standard bearer. I think the cors are a little flat and could use some contrast between layers, especially the lighter colors like the apothecary\'s white helmet and the beige on the robes. The paint jobs are clean and neat, but could benefit from some additional layers. All this of course could be planned if you intend these for an army, which I think you do from your post.

Pretty good NMM and freehand Just need to work on the hightlighting and shading.

Yea i agree the painting is quite neat, which is a good thing, just more highlighting and shading is needed, the colours look to flat, even very basic ones will improve the model tremendously

Very nice freehand work, very neat and well executed. As already mentioned the colors still do look a little flat though but with a little practice and some more highlighting/shading they will look great!

just take your shading a little further mate and then tweek your highlits to make it pop.

(guilty of this myself sometimes with 28mm)
