Hi all,

Bout month ago ive got my island of blood starter set (along with Snikch as i liked look of this miniature so much) and started my very first experience with painting. I watched few tutorial videos on youtube(beasts of war ones helped me a lot) and learned about washes(got few) etc. But im still not satisfied with the results, i know i cant expect to be a master painter after first 50 miniatures but what do you think? Please let me know your opinions about my first work, give some advices if you think of any from look of my skavens etc. I used 20yrs old revell and humbroll paints for them, along with badab black and delvan mud citadel washes. Looking forward for opinions and please pardon my english;-)

a great start. you seem to have brush control. it's hard to properly judge as the photos are rubbish! however you could do with more shading on them to bring out the contrast. not sure how well acrylic washes work with enamels though.

Thanks, sorry for picture quality as i took pictures with my cell phone. Washes did not worked as i expected they ll, but i think i can blame that on age of paints i used. I tried to drybrush and highlight some of the areas but that old enamels just did not worked as i wanted to so i decided it ll be better to leave models as they are right now than risking of ruining all the time i spent on them. I allread ordered citadel paints to try them out and im really curious if i ll feel and notice any difference(i hope i ll). I know i ve got a long way to go and hope i ll make some progression with next 20 models of plague monks:-o
