My First Submission (Eldar Wraithseer)

Hey guys

so I started to apint my eldar army again and thought Id start with something special.

My Wraithseer


will upload more pics of the rest of the army that was my firs Eldar model painted in the new colour scheme
only 200 more to go (6-7000pts).

Howdy and welcome

well, ya posted a mini, so here comes the feedback

the good:
colour scheme is nice and simple, but not boring. You have good light/dark contrast in adjacent areas. The green and blue work well and are in nice proportion.
The gloss black on the head is a nice idea. Might steal that, actually
The rune on the tabard is pretty neat.

the things-to-be-improved
paint is way too thick. Try thinning it down with water in a palette. It should take at least 2 or 3 layers to give coverage over a similar undercoat. Many more layers over a very contrasty undercoat.
Add in a couple more layers of blending on things like the tabard. It'll make a world of difference.
Don't use a flash. Set up a couple of lights at about 45 degrees to the perpendicular (left and right) and set your camera on a pile f books. Use the timer, and have a nice long exposure.

All in all, a decent tabletop level mini. Keep up the good work

yeh and the gloss black is basically Like a big gem, I tried it and i liked it, gona have a bit of synergy
of that across the rest of my army like on my wraithguard and what not think its pretty cool.
