My first finished model as well, so I realize there's still a lot I could do... but my biggest question is what products do you guys use for such a nice matte finish? I used Armory matte varnish, and it put an awful frosted look on him, which then made me use a satin glaze, which then ended up looking like gloss! DDDDx

For spray, Testors Dullcote is the mutts nuts

I would say that he needs more contrast generally. Rather than having just the tips of his wings black and everything else quite bright, I'd be tempted to keep only the core bright white and yellow and have the edges of everything blooming with darker reds and blacks

ok serious, freak have some great points there. testor dullcote is super matt, probably as matt it can get.
as for colors, id go for a more red-ish body than the pink(?) one right now, but thats a matter of taste. keep it up!
