I\'ve finally completed by Tyrant of Vile-Tis mini. He\'s from Rackham.

The comment I got the most from my WIP was that I needed to push the contrast on the armor. I went as far as I felt I could go with it. I hope I went far enough with it.

For some reason my camera makes the water on the base look more blue than it really is.

Damn mate!!! this is the next model I have to paint and I was thinking of a snow base as well... I have to change my plans (I\'m not joking!).
I think i will drop the red armor scheme and go for bronze or gold.
Nice face and polished armor. Did you use some kind of gloss medium for the armour that is so shiny?

Nope, I used spray matte varnish on the whole model... but I did a coat of gloss varnish over the parts of the sword I wanted shiny and all of the blood spatters.

I think the armor looks so shiny because of all the highlight washes I did. I must have washed on 10 - 12 highlights!

Any chance of a top-down shot of this to see the base a bit better.

Don\'t get me wrong, I like the mini and all and gave it a 7...but just wanting to see a bit more what is going on on the base.
