Hi all

Just uploaded pics of my Ogre from UKGD 05. He won gold in WFB Monster and I\'m really pleased with that. It\'s my tenth demon trophy so I\'m well happy to have rounded things off after a dry spell last year.

He\'s here

Class!

Excellent mini, both sculpt-wise and painting-wise! Well deserved victory! (I haven\'t seen the other entries, but with a quality like this it\'s clearly deserved)

Man I needed to see this when Im half way through doing an ogre army. I give up.. Not really. Perfect paint job I voted a 10 1st one this month. Thanks for sharing.

Absolutely awesome stuff. I love how he has such a strong and individual style but would also comfortably sit amongst the existing GW Maneaters (if they had natural fleshy skin tones).

The whole thing is flawless and for pure smoothness and crisp perfection it deserved the Slayer Sword.

sweet!

I saw this pic when moderating comments, but didn\'t know who it belonged to. It made my jaw drop. Even sweeter when I found out who painted/sculpted it.

Well deserved!

Truly inspiring!

I agree, I like this skin tone so much better than the grey ogres. And real metallics that are beautiful. Wish you would tell us how you painted them. :flip:

Well deserved!!

Holy shit! Phil Lewis left a comment on your piece! Is that the real Phil Lewis? Man, he\'s been around for so long. What a fella though.

No, not THAT Phil Lewis it would seem. His profile says he\'s been painting less than a year. Think GW legend Phil Lewis has been around the hobby a fair bit longer.

Oh, and for Terry. My metallics...

Silver - Basecoat mix of Scorched Brown and Chainmail. Highlighted up to Chainmail then Mithril Silver. Lot\'s of thinned layers.

Gold - Basecoat mix of Bestial Brown and Shining Gold highlighted up to Shining Gold and then up to Mithril Silver. Again, paints kept thin.

Like I told you before the awards ceremony, this figure was much better than the other two contenders. Congratulations on a well deserved gold demon!
