My Golem

I had a Battlegaurd Golem from Reaper miniatures lying around my apartment, and never got around to painting it, never really liked the static pose. Well, a couple of weeks ago, I was making a halberd for my friend and thought ..Wouldn\'t the old golem look good with a Halberd or Glaive?? So I decided to go for it, and the more I toyed around with ideas, the more and more things changed, and soon what became a simple weapon swap ended up being much more. He\'s almost finished, and any comments/criticisms would be appreciated! Thanks. Oh, I think I plan on a weathered stone look. (roughing up the edges of the armor, etc.

I hope the pic works, it\'s not the best, but he seems hard to photograph! ;)

I really like this minis posing. I might just get me one for a side project. I agree with danl, some weathering would be good. And maybe add a few spot of rust.

Thanks for the input! :) I think I want to start painting him soon, well..as soon as I like how everything looks (never seems to happen) So I can post some WIP shots of that later this week hopefully

Some more pics of the Golem! I\'m trying to decide if I should try to make a design on the glaive or not. Choices choices. I\'m not sure if I should clean up the \'hand grip\' on his weapon or not, it doesn\'t look too bad in person. I may redo his back as its a bit...rough. But overall I\'m almost happy enough with him to start painting!:flip:
