***how do you get your desert yellow, graveyard earth, and all those newest GW colours to not go on like crap?(they go on really thin and dont spread well for me)?

i am loving that purple, and that source lighting looks really nice as well

thanks starks! in fact they spread really poorly but thinning them properly with water allows to coat nicely the surface ^^

my first try with NMM on a sword... needs more contrast? ??????

Very nice work!!

The Nmm is good I really don\'t think you need to change it drasticly.

But.. yes I think the NMM could use more contrast. Go to an near white on both the Gold and steel and shade it to a near black. It gives that extra shine.. especially IRL. The bolder you get with contrast and placing highlights the better it\'ll look. Actually you could keep large parts of NMM very dark and at the same time have pretty large areas of glares, just showing some intermediate shades between. For example you could have had some of the golden plates facing the lightssource almost entirely off-white. While some others, facing away from the lightsource or as you see fit, almost black with just specks of light.

I\'m experimenting myself with NMM and I find it really hard to master fully. But the 2 first things to grip is contrast and not using the same method of placing highlights as you are used to. I think you are fully on your way with both of these things.
