Best. Rap. Album. Ever.
Isn\'t that an Oxymoron?
That\'s a rather closed-minded attitude. Believe it or not, there is actually a lot of good stuff out there - you just don\'t necessarily hear it in the charts or on the radio all the time.

Right on chief! Format is class... :)

Hip hop doesn\'t have to be about Guns n\' Hoes™. I prefer my beats a bit more chilled or on a party vibe:

Ozomatli
DJ Vadim
Coldcut
Jurassic 5
DJ Shadow
Beastie Boys
A Skillz
Scratch Perverts
Rob Swift
Aquasky

and loads of \'old school\' stuff still sounds great to this day:

Grandmaster Flash
Melle Mel
Soul Sonic Force
Run DMC
Sugerhill Gang
Kool Herc

Pendulum
Prodigy

Bleedin\' awesome. Seen both of those live. Who said dance music wasn\'t a visceral experience when done in front of a crowd??!

lighten up.

I for one giggled at your comment Mike, even if I happen to like some of that stuff every now and again

no need to get all critical.

Really? You\'re going to play the judgment game on an internet forum for painting miniature soldiers? Classy.

stm

Yeah, heaven forbid he express his opinion.

I think most rap is complete garbage, but there is the occasional glimmer of hope...and I\'ll even grant you that Dre is one of those usually doing the glimmering...but \'the judgment game\'?

lol

Most of everything is complete garbage. You have to sift through the shit to find the gems...

Quite possibly. I guess there\'s some crap I\'m more willing to shovel than others. :)

I think rap as with all music genres have crappy elements to it, you just have to search for the good music

As does Burzum.

Blood for the blood god was released with an issue of WD back in the 80s. I didn\'t have the issue but a friend did so I heard the record, although it\'s some 24 years so I don\'t remember it.

yeah you know classical music is way better than some of the stuff thats out there these days... but death metal is where its at for me right now (hmm kinda the opposite) Heaven Shall Burn is an awesome band (not anti religion despite the name and few nihilistic lyrics) most of their stuff is about politics and things. try:
