My last ever miniatures as a Stone Circle Games employee...

Hi everyone!

Here are some links to the very last China Town pieces I painted as a Stone Circle Games employee! They let me fly the nest and have looked after me well...going to miss them all!

I will now be painting in my spare time and doing things for myself, so I\'m hoping for some very different pieces to show up in my gallery soon :D

Thanks for all your comments and help in the past year, they have helped a lot.

Right, before the emotion really kicks in, here are the links:

Male Sword Saint

Tyger Lilly

Many thanks!

Hi Rev, good luck with your future painting plans!

Out of the two, I really enjoy the paintjob on the sword saint. You carried him off with a lot of dignity and that fits the sculpt. Nice color contrast between the blues and the browns!

The Tyger Lily... um. While the paint job is very smooth, she looks like a man wearing pigtails and a Wonderbra. Which is a shame because 1) I don\'t think that\'s your fault and, 2) That\'s a great pose.

Any private projects in your future that you would like to give us a heads-up on? I\'ve liked browsing through your gallery and seeing kind of a \"baseball card\" uniformity there. (Not to suggest that your stuff looks like baseball cards, but I hope you get the gist? :flip: )

Reverend: now you are no longer a painting wage slave, good luck on whatever venture you go on to.
As for the painting, we \'mature\' painters must stick together like glue. (Pun intended)
Am looking forward to your private \'stash\' going up on display.

By \'heads-up\' I am supposing you mean a hint? ;) Never heard that expression before!

I\'ve got an Imperial Fists Command Group underway, and received a box of the Necromunda Escher miniatures in the post from an e-bay auction...they are amazing sculpts

Thanks for your feedback as well - I really appreciate your thoughts!

And now for Dragonsreach - Mike, thanks for the encouragement. I\'ve got to finish a couple of pieces to get to \'stash\' capabilities, but I\'m gonna try!

Take care.

I could be wrong but I think the \"Heads up\" expression comes from Baseball games and sports.
Whenever a ball is thrown errantly, or popped-up with a bat towards the audience, folks yell \"heads up\" to warn everybody.

But you got the expression right, it is a hint or an early warning.

AS for your stuff (I am not just an encyclopedia of useless info!) I have looked at your Chinatown figures repeatedly, not just these latest. Your painting of them has always maked me want to start collecting them. As if I need something more to spend my money on.

Please keep posting new stuff!

Well, Reverend, looking forward to seeing some of your other stuff here - havent had a chance to rate the last two you put up yet - as of this post I\'m only about 2000 minis behind on my ratings, but am looking forward to seeing them as they roll through.

As for heads up, while I have heard it in a sports connotation (look out for the ball), I have also heard it in a construction connotation (look out for the large heavy object headed for the ground/you in a rapid manner), in a military connotation (HUD - Heads up display in aircraft) and in the connotation of letting someone know what is going on - ie Give us a heads up on that would you? :]

Freelance? Dunno \'bout that!

I reckon I\'ll paint in my spare time and auction, and hopefully after a couple of months of consistency I\'ll find a good price or two. I might look at freelance later but only part time as it is quite a stressful thing!

Thanks Beez and Lai ;)
