My Latest Stupid Tragedy

So, I spent all day doing up a mini to be my friend\'s D&D character. For a one-day job, it turned out pretty well. Maybe a 6 or 6.5 if I\'d based it.
Happy me, all done painting, it\'s time for a quick spray of Dullcote, and then some liquitex matt varnish.
So, I grab the spray can, go outside, and spray the mini. And the base dissolves. EEK! Why? Then I notice that the mini\'s all bubbly and foamy on one side. Double EEK! Look at the can... It\'s bloody paint stripper, not dullcote.

I must remember to look first, spray second...

My tendancy at times like this is to grab a can of primer.

Primed a RAFM Sherlock Holmes three times at one point.lol

Yup. BEHR No. 599. \'The Stripper\'.
Spray. Wait 30 seconds. Run under water and scrub with a tooth-brush. Gone.
8.99 Canadian a can, at Home Depot.
\"Removes paint, varnish & stain\"

It\'s actually a wood/furniture stripper, but it works wonderfully well on minis.
Don\'t use it on plastic. It\'ll melt really really fast.

Oh, and wear gloves. It irritates the skin pretty good. (Guess how I found out?)

This sh*t sounds suspiciously like Easy-Off oven cleaner (the hardcore paint stripper I started out using, way back when I painted minis with Testor\'s enamels!)

B&Q do a spray Nitromors.

I once picked up a can of white primer instead of varnish. My rat-skin renegades were not the same after that.
