My latest work

I\'ve just posted my latest work. It consists of my two GD entries from last year, and a dwarf I finished a couple of weeks ago. I\'d really appreciate your comments and votes.

The GD entries are:
http://www.coolminiornot.com/112171
http://www.coolminiornot.com/112170

Both figures made it to the final (equal to making first cut) but were beaten by lots of very nice entries (Trevor, Weisern and Zordana amongst others)

The dwarf was done because I love the figure that much. I was very happy with the metals on him.

Yes, the dwarf seems to be the best one. But it is hard to vote becuase the pictures are a little bit to smal to see details. Maybe a godd idea to post some bigger pics.

1. Pippin abducted at Amon Hen
+ the base
+ face of Pippin
- the different parts of the cloak and orc armor needs some dark lines to separate the parts
- not enought shading and highlights

2. Pestigor
+ the base and the axe
- can\'t see any kind of face or eyes

3. Dwarf lord
+ the colour sheme
+ the face and hair
- some darker lines to separate the different parts
- the gem on the axe needs a reflection.

Nice work for all of them. I thinkthe blade on the pestigor could have been better (based on what I ca see you do) the dwarf is excellent. The face just scream give me another mead.

Great job.

Thanks for the comments.

Unfortunately I dropped the Pestigor an hour ago moving him back to the cabinet. I\'m going to be repairing a few chips.

Thanks for the feedback Stefanhws. The points you picked out on Pippin is precisely the reason he didn\'t do better at the GD.

You live and learn, I have the Merry figure to practice on in any case.
