Hey guys, here are my most recent models, hope you like \'em!

This chaplain was my Golden Demon entry this year, but has been improved a lot since the event as the result of some really useful advice from the eavy metal team  Note the subtle marble effect on his Crozius Arcanum.

The cold metalic paint scheme on these aircaste was inspired after seeing the SENMM of Alexi Z.

Please bear in mind my photo rig ain\'t perfect, and fire away with any questions!

Cheers,

I think the background is a little bit to bright on the aircaste!
The highlighting on the Chaplin is a bit sketchy at times, but a great job on both submissions.

I like both submissions, but the chaplain is my favourite, the marble works well and the tome in his right hand is really well done.

Would like to see individual close ups of the air caste, and a different background would help too!

Score for the chaplain is insane. I have seen much poorer work score eight and above, probably due to a lot of gradient colours and nmm. This conversion took a heck of a lot of skill to pull off, the colours are well balanced and the highlighting is generally good. I think it deserves 7.9.

Sorry the tau are poor photo.

Please Please Please don\'t start another my score should be better thread we\'ve got a million on here at the minute....

voting is a subjective thing and a chaplain or any marine for that matter needs a lot done to it to grab voters attention...

The conversion work is great I like it a lot..
The little details are cleanly done and the extra touch with the marbling etc helps it out but to reach nearer 8 your pretty much right..
The metallics need more work..(not necesserily NMM) just some variations to the tone of shading and highlighting....Maybe some purples in he inkwash etc.
You obviously have good brush control from the scrollwork etc but how about the shoulder pads etc..
These are areas that done well can really help lift the score.Unfortunately we can\'t even see them on this pic.
Lastly the thing that will inhibit the score is the base. A little more work on these areas and a few better pics will help raise the score a bit..

Please understand these are purely constructive critiques overall I can se you have talent and look forward to more submissions and some better pics..

good luck.

Wow, cheers for such a positive response, I was not in the best mood when I wrote the above post.

I don\'t think I\'m too likely to hit 8/10 scores in the near future cos I\'d rather do a solid gaming model than a display piece that has impressive technique. Guess I am a little frustrated not to get higher feedback cos of the hours put in. Never mind, cheers again for our response.

It\'s no worries....Just remeber painting your minis isn\'t about getting a high score it\'s about enjoying what you do as your work and been happy with the final result yourself...i look forward to more stuff from your good self.
