Those mettalics look out of place and I think you should try doing this guy in nmm. The skin tone is bloody awful and I don\'t like the way you\'ve polished the shoulder pads to make them look like metal works.

Awesome job throughout, I just wanted to add that I think your nmm skills are only topped by Razza and Yellow one. If you polished your technique up a bit you would surpass even them. Other than that my only complaint is that on the back of the feet the gold nmm just feels wrong for some reason, the black seems off putting and unfinished, or is it unfinished, I can\'t tell.
Well done anyway, looking forward to seeing what you do next as with your skill you could win a slayer sword. I just think you need a little more conversions to do that.

Got a lot more done today. I toned down the purple on his eyes, I think it looks a lot better (thanks Brice).

Decided to paint the horizon on the shield, as well as some of the lava chasms. I think I need to do a couple very light glazes of Snakebite Leather to tie everything together and help it look like it\'s a reflection and not just painted on. Thoughts?

love the shield, but it seems waaay too dark in my opinion. i would rework that area.... the nipples are too prominent with the silver... it reminds me of batman with his nipples on the old costume. other than those two things..... i see no other faults..... hope it turns out well. cheers

Thanks guys and especially for the input on the shield. I agree 100% that it was too dark. So I fixed it I decided to add some cloud definition too, to help add in some extra brighter tones. I figured it\'s a very overcast, smoggy day (it is a Chaos Waste, after all, right?)

It\'s amazing what a difference night and day makes when taking pictures (since I take them right next to a window with two lamps). I had to lighten this one up a bit in photoshop to compensate.

ok the shield is looking better, now work on showing the difference between the sky and the mountains, because its beginning to meld to close together in tones. the top is much better, also consider shading the lava flow shining onto the shield as well towards the bottom.

Its looking awesome! I am seriously disturbed at how great it looks, but at the same time I cant help but think that is the shiniest shield ever! This fig is so blingy, i cant help it because my painting style is much more gritty, i hope when you get to the point of basing you will add some \'imperfections\' at least onto his boots and other parts. It almost looks out of place if he will be in a mordor type of area...but that could be stuff you already have planned for the future?

Well, it\'s finished! Except for that dratted base... lol I\'ll have to stop by the trophy shop tomorrow and see what they have as far as plinths. I don\'t normally like doing huge bases (I tend to stick with the small game-size bases) but I will need something bigger than that to show the powers of chaos shifting the terrain around him.


@bailaohu1: He won\'t have any dirt or chips on his armor. In the fluff Sigvald\'s armor has a mirror finish and is perfectly clean since the chaos gods grant his every wish. (He hovers an inch above the ground so even his boots wouldn\'t get dirty! )

frikin amazing matt! the shild needs to still be a bit brighter, it just seams wierd that the rest of the gold is so much brighter thats all i think. but seriously i think this could go very far in terms of golden demon!

It\'s freaking amazing but small problems with the shield:
1)Needs to be brighter
2)You need to make it face a little more towards the sky as like this it looks like 3/4 of it should be reflection the earth, not 1/2.
But nevertheless, bloody amazing.

PS: You should make two bases, as if you only make one large one you would only be able to enter it in Open Category and not single mini.
