Finally got around to doing some painting, and here it is.

I didn\'t spend much time on this one, so the NMM is a bit rushed. I think he\'s probably decent enough to go on eBay, but I may keep him around.

Comments appreciated!

Nice! Are you the \"tweener\"? Anyways, nice highlighting all around, I would just add a few more highlights on everything, especially the robe. Red doesn\'t show well in pics unless it\'s highlighted a fair amount. 7.5 to be sure...:)

Heh... yes, I\' used tweening on this model, too. I just love that word...

Thanks for the comments. The red looks a LOT better in real life, since I have a crappy camera. It seems to pick up blues pretty well, but reds (like you said) need to be highlighted crazy for it to pick them up. ???

Since I was hoping for around a 6.5-7 on this model, your 7.5 is quite pleasing! If I wind up using him in my RPG stuff, then I\'ll do some more work on him. If not though, I\'ll not bother and see what I can get on eBay.

Thanks again for the comments!

article?

Have you ever considered doing an article on the \'tweening\' technique?

Hope so.

I like the little fireball the guy is shooting, and the lighting effects you have given it.

I\'m not so crazy about the pants...I am not sure what it is specifically, but they just don\'t look right.

Anyhoo....I gave you a 7.

I think the crotch of the pants need more depth. The shading doesn\'t look as dark as the rest of the shading on the model. Besides that, the legs seem to be sculpted funny. Good work with this fig though.

This mini has such a neat face. You did him well there.

The yellow color of the pants does not look like fabric. It looks like wax or pvc/vinyl for some reason. Maybe overhighlighted?

I like the light sourceing on the palm of the hand, but the outside of his thumb should be in shadow.

The nm gold looks pretty good .

A metal handle on a mace? That\'s going to hurt to hit almost as much as being hit. There is a reason they have wood handles.

I really like the base (floorboards) but I see a bit of yellow wash bleeding down on the black.

I agree with the previous comments already made, I will add one more thing. It may be the pic but the buttons and also the neklace could do with some sor of lining to give them shadow. The necklace could possibly do with a shade and a highlight or two. Still a good 7.5 to me though.lol

I think part of the reason the pants look like something other than cloth is my \"Dullcote\" isn\'t quite. Must be the humidity...

Anyway, yes, I plan to eventually write a tweening article. It\'s just that because my camera isn\'t the greatest, I can\'t really get any good shots showing it well. :( I suppose I could do like Margo did on her feathering technique, and show the process with simple graphics...

Thanks, all, for the feedback.
