Hello everyone .
just a thread for me to keep going (I'm easily bored ^^)
so my first project is to paint a (some ) fig(s) for the painting crusade 10 ( Brussels , Belgium , paintingcrusade.be ) , in February (23 and 24 ).

J-44 days :

searching for a fig , In my drawer bottoms I found this one : German in m44 field blouse (ww2) , this the only historical fig that I have ( won in a lottery ) ,i think it would be fun to paint it .

the fig :

begin to clean it :

I thought these were tank tracks at first! LOL LOL
(the spam will probably be deleted so to everyone who didnt see, they were quality watches from Vietnam ;) )

Ugh. I saw it alright. Reported it promptly too. The spam posts were bad enough, but now we're getting hit with magazine ads. Grr.

What scale is this figure?

What? Quality watches? I'm looking for a watch!! You guys think we're deleting spam, we're just saving all the great deals for ourselves...

Ok. Sorry for the derail and amount of spam you have to take. It's a bit ridiculous. And I'm looking forward seeing what you do with this miniature!

J-42:
Not so much avancement ;
colors i will use for the skin ( chaos black is a mix of black and turquoise , base skin is mix 50/50 of Elf flesh and Kommando khaki)

This is may be a strange choice of colors , but the result look good (I have done a test-->)

so now begin to paint the face (poses of light and shadow)

J-42 update (error up  Base for the skin is 30/70 (old gw ) Foundation Tallarn Flesh /Kommando Khaki)
finish painting the face (the cap is in the way , sorry )

the palette

remarks. advice. Don't be shy ,I want to know them :mean:.

Good so far, but a bit chalky...maybe the pics? Try some glazes to smooth it out.
tallarn flesh is a bugger for chalkiness

No , it is not the pics (even if it emphasize it ) , it is the model who is the problem , the surface is not as smooth as i want , maybe restart to 0 :sidefrown:
I have done some glazing (more than 30 ) but to do some more is not a bad idea . But i don't want to do a lot , because I loose some contrast ( the picture don't show it well ).

Hit the highlights again, dont worry about making them appear too extreme as glazes will bring them down.

painting another model : Nurgle lord ( Games workshop )( I love this model cool and not difficult to assemble )
I have begin to paint it 1 year earlier , but i was not happy with it so i have scour it.

not so much advancement (exam exam :vampire: ), going to finish the skin

any ideas for the armor ? ( TMP or colored armor )

In Chigh P.I.

I would like to see the armour done in TMPs (i own this mini too, and plan to do that, mainly because most of the painted versions you see around have the usual nurgley-green armour and not many use TMPs)

Nice work on the skin so far, looks nice & smooth.
