My quest for the Dullcoat

I have searched high and low for someone that sells Testor\'s Dullcoat in Sweden without results. To my utter disbelief, my quest took a strange but joyous turn today. I managed to find a wholesale company in Sweden that carry the entire Testor product range including model kits, paints and... the Dullcoat!. Now they only sell to companies so no luck there, but they had a list of companies that carry their products and one of them is a shop for RC cars, boats, helicopters etc. that is a block away from where I work. I walk past this place every day and has done so for more than 4 years!! So, I visited them today and asked for the Dullcoat. They didn\'t carry it but they called up the distributor and ordered me a couple of cans. I\'ll have them on Thursday!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

So, all of you that lives in Sweden can look HERE and see if there\'s a store near you that can fix you up with some cans.

Anders:

You have no business sense. :D What you should have done is not told anyone in Sweden where to get it, and made out that you were the only available source of Dull-cote. You\'d have made a killing.

But however you\'ve told everyone now. The Cat\'s wel and truely out of the bag!....:D;)

Mike, I know 3 people on these boards except myself that are from Sweden! There\'s not much business there! ;)
But you\'re right! I\'m not much of a salesman... I\'m just too bloody honest for that! lol

Well, hopefully... and not just due to the Dullcoat. :)

BTW, during my search for this much sought after varnish I found a bit of useless trivia concerning Testor. The company was allegedly started by a certain Nils Testor who was born in Sweden, but moved to the US and started the company there. :)

:D You\'re welcome, Anja! The only downside to it all is that you have to go to a store called \"Roffes modellflyg\". It\'s an environment where I feel about as home as I would feel in a boxing ring. lol

Bahh, if you can get the brush-on, which is easily available from the CMON store, I\'d just go for that...I have the spray, and while it\'s pretty good, I haven\'t had the optimum level of humidity/other conditions since AUGUST. It worked incredibly well then, but I\'ve never had that much success with it since that date. I recently bought the brush on out of frustration, and it was awesome. Completely dull, duller than my wildest dreams. The best thing is, you can control the brush, and just hit the cracks, while keeping the outer edges nice n\' shiny. The opposite is true of the spray (super hard to get in the cracks, in my experience)

You Spawny Hound....

...that\'s Yorkshire speak for lucky person! lol

I keep trying (unsuccessfully) to get hold of said \'Holy Grail\'

When someone from the forums manages to get hold of some, I seem to get there just too late and find the last can has disappeared into the ether...
